My only worry would be it's more than just a fault with the satnav but the only way to find out would be to try a different one, I'm always wary of, it's an easy fix, so easy we won't spend £500 replacing it but we will knock 5k off the price.

It's not in the dealer network anymore so there's no need to fit a new unit so why haven't they replaced it , I find it hard to believe they haven't investigated it

It's far more than £500 to replace. When the car first came up for sale it was at 27k and the dealer selling bought it off a main dealer. They main dealer didn't want to fix which is a concern....It will cost at least 5k to put right...

The interior looks a little unloved in places but lets not forget that a good condition Sport GTS starts at around 40k and there is a low miles one currently up at a dealer for 56k !!! So there is a reason for this car being under 30k...It ain't perfect...but even if the only thing wrong is the unit and it costs 5k to put right the car will still be 5/6k cheaper than other for sale.......If you find one for sale that is.

It can't be repaired; has to be replaced. £5000 plus fit.

The only other hope is that it has simply frozen and requires either a key off & net off reset of the NIT or a reset from an SD2 plug in. Failing that, it's an expensive replacement as Dicky says

It's not a reset. original seller tried all that....basically it's knackered!!!!!

I suspect that despite the car probably being able to drive without it, subsequent repairs/servicing requires the unit for keycodes etc. It would take another 2/3k drop before this sells.

Seems to have been passed around the trade for the last few months, with no real purchaser actually brave enough to take it on. It's been thrashed around tracks by journalists and the public (including me) and has an expensive problem we all know about. Hardly an enticing prospect.

I think so. I did a track session in the press/fleet car a few years ago and it was that spec/colour, so assume it was that car. I doubt they'd have run more than one black with black GTS back in those days.

I'm in the market for a QP GTS but it needs to be considerably more cherished (and lower mileage) than this one. But given how rarely they come up I must assume they hardly sold any. There are more second hand QP VI GTS for sale than there are QP V GTS variants.

Only 41 registered in U.K and probably 1/3 never see day light, after speaking to a main dealer in England apparently they rarely seen them let alone stock them.

Thing is punters are buying the 4.7 Sport GTS when they come up because the new car is not a replacement for this car.....Totally different drive.

Currently only 5 for sale (so over 10% of sales)....The cheap one above and these two...

The one at Nuvola would be good with the wrap off as rather like silver but not sure I could live with that colour steering wheel...

This one at a main dealer is 20k more than the Top Gear one...and needs all the black window surround and exhaust as that has always marked out the Sport GTS

Another one in the 50k's from Meridien...

Never really a black fan but black really does suit the Sport GTS....I think this is one of Maserati's best kept secrets......Everyone wants a GTS but this is as good...
