It looks expensive to me but there are few older GranTurismos around at the moment and prices appear to have stabilised. Will all change come November-January but prices are still higher than many of us expected.

Agreed i dont think retail prices for early Gran Turismos have dropped by an significant amount for the past 12 months.
Quite remarkable really.

Interesting that ADG have not had a GranTurismo for sale for a while. I presume that they are getting hard to source, hence the cessation of depreciation for 5 year old cars? I guess people are keeping them.

I'm using mine less with a view to moderating the miles and keeping it a long time. They are just such great cars and the new saloon offerings from Maserati leave me cold. Just hoping that the GranTurismo replacement in c3 years time has some design and a n/a V8 in it.

There were a few early 4.2's up for 32/33k a few months back now most are over 35k and below are far and few between.......Seems they have stopped at 35k.....I'm sure you can pick them up cheaper within the trade and if you know where to look but to us men on the street 35k is what you need I think.

I was down at Owens today for a diagnostic and there were a lot of GT's and Masers (more than I would have expected) in what I would consider to be in neglected condition: pin dents, scratches, wheels, very dirty...

As ever......for a lot of people its just another expensive car....to be seen in, to park up in...........all sorts of reasons for owning one.................BUT.....whether cared for or not.......still driving a Maser....thats what really matters

I guess it's all relative to how much £ you have. 100k right down to someone is like £100 right down to me, different circles we all move in.

A lot of people don't see the scratches, curbed wheels etc they just see that they own an imposing, expensive car.

Sure. I'd agree with that. However, *I* need it to start when I turn the key and stop / go round corners etc :)

It's a difficult one and explains why so many expensive cars have patchy service history - they are bought by busy people who are indifferent as to whether their three old GranTurismo sells for £45k or £50k.

.....as a matter of fact its almost a badge of honour............I can afford to treat it like a waste bin....ok a fast and expensive one.....no big deal

Still a dearth of lower priced GranTurismos'. Makes sense though. These cars are so good that I might keep mine a decade. Drove mine to the Ladies Open yesterday. I had forgotten how much impression they make. I normally just drive mine up and down the motorway to the three main Scottish cities rather than take it to places where it might be appreciated.
