2007 QP Engine Stalled in Traffic

Had a really strange thing happen today, I was crawling along in traffic and the next thing I noticed was the car was showing N and the ignition and oil light was on. I then realised the engine had stopped. When I tried to start it it turned over but would not fire. Also the dashboard screen that shows the gear was going blank then lighting up again the same with the radio screen.

I tried to start it a couple of times and nothing. I then turned the key completely off and removed it, waited a few minutes then tried again, started no problem and worked fine. Been ok since as well, just wondered if anybody had experienced anything similar and if so did you ever discover what it was?

Crank position sensor?

Check the battery terminals are not loose.
We all know how voltage sensitive our cars are.

Thanks Phil great help, I had removed the battery when I changed the rocker cover gaskets and must have disturbed the earth connection to the car. Tightened up fingers crossed that resolves it.

Hoping it's not the crankshaft position sensor as like most things won't be cheap

12,000 miles away I'm confident it was voltage issues.
