So I am now the proud owner of this Gransport. Thanks to Jack and Bestie for looking after it. McGraths found loads of little things but generally all ok. So pushed the button. Look forward to having a proper drive on it sometime. But now off to show it to wife

Thanks guys. Will clean it up tomorrow and post a piccie. Wife not too unhappy. Few jobs to do and a service in May. Had a bit of a scare today when I went to get some petrol. Which ******** decided to put the fuel cap switch in the glovebox? Luckily I had the handbook with me.

The joys of maserati ownership!
Good luck with the purchase - lovely car.
I still remember sitting in the petrol station in my GTs for the first time, trying to look comfortable owning such a wondrous machine.... whilst looking on your tube how to open the fuel cap!!

Never thought of YouTube. Good idea though. I also can’t read anything without reading glasses so had to scrabble around for those and then the phone to put the torch on. Hope tomorrow will be easier. Gonna get the kercher out and clean it.

Well done on the purchase, I am sure you will enjoy it. I was tempted to buy it back myself!

Congratulations on the purchase, glad it worked out for you.

Thanks for the advice. Paul from McGraths did a pretty good job going through the car and I know I have a bit to spend but it still seems a decent price. Sounds brilliant as well. God luck with the sales of yours.

Congratulations! I had the same problem with the fuel cap when I bought my 4200.

I rang the previous owner!

That was going to be my next step. Fortunately there wasn’t a queue in the garage. Just been out to gloat and will give it a good clean this afternoon. Still excited.

Drive it. Then wash it! Although I always do it the other way round. Make it nice and shiny. Then get it dirty again!
