It certainly does!

That's lovely! Amazing how much of a car you can get for that kind of money now!
If I didn't rack up 20k a year I'd be all over that!

If you do 20k a year this is the car to buy as no matter how many miles you rack up it won't depreciate much more.

Surely you are not planning on doing that in a Maserati? I do nearly c8k miles pa in mine and that is plenty viz a viz depreciation, servicing, tyres and fuel. Would it not be better to spread that mileage over two cars?

One went for 16.5k on these forums only a few months back, the cheap ones do come up.

Only recently we saw a 13k QP too.

I think doing 20,000 miles a year in a V8 Maser would bankrupt me. Fuel consumption in my Alfa GT JTDm means I get about 700 miles from a tank (on a run) which costs me £75 to fill up.
I reckon I'd be filling up at least twice as much in a Maser.

I think that's where my money would be if I had to move away from the 3200. A GS, there's so little in the price difference between a 4200 that a GS is a no brainer.

I'm maybe coming into this all a bit late but I a not sure what you are looking for. I seem to recall you looking at new Ghibli a while back but they don't stack up at 20k miles pa. For me a more sporty Maserati for 5-7.5k miles pa and a diesel chugger for 12.5-15k miles pa makes a lot of sense whether the Maser costs £10k or £40k.

Test drove a Ghibli diesel a few months ago and was thoroughly underwhelmed with it. Wasn't a patch on the E- Class AMG 350D Merc I drove.
But have now decided to keep the Alfa GT and buy a 4200 facelift as a toy.
However, like the Quattroporte, but make no sense for me as a work car for the reasons above.
