Hi Guys, while trying to find out why my 7 Litres of expensive oil was turning a nice shade of coffee and the water having nasty globules of the same coffee coloured oil floating around the coolant system, I pulled the heads off (not literally I did use allen sockets) to see if we had a blown gasket (which I would of been surprised of as it has only clocked up 37,000 miles,) now after a lot of head scratching and the removal of the water/oil pump (do not let anybody tell you this is an easy job as the exhaust manifolds are in the way and will not come out until you have removed the engine mount and the engine protector) and speaking to specialists and main dealers, none of whom mentioned that it could possibly be the water/oil heat exchanger, but in desperation I removed the exchanger and after cleaning it up I blocked off one of the fittings, filled it with degreaser (I thought it would be better than water in a oil way) and blew down the other fitting and low and behold out came drops off degreaser. Now I am trying to track down someone who can repair it for me, rather than pay HR Owen 1300.00 + vat or Eurospares £993.00 + vat. The upshot of this all is I now need to put the engine back together and I need the torque settings, I have had a look around for manuals on the net, but they only seem to give you a pictorial guide on how to remove the engine. Any guidance would be gratefully received as it has been a long and expensive week. Regards Neil
