Thing is even £16k is a lot of money for ordinary punters. You get a lot for this money if you buy, say, a much newer BMW. Most people shopping in this price range would much prefer a five series I guess.
People get scared of cheal supercars....they would buy one at 28k but not at 16k.....
Its a bmw merc price budget at 16k.....they can get newer cars with lower costs.....
Still.....if it inspects well......looks the part, and you keep a war chest then an eminently sensible buy........frankly, you shouldn't be able to buy this amount of style, history, comfort and performance for Fiesta money....but you can!!!!!
It was the one that went at Auction the other week for £13,400 + fees. It's also had a service at Dick Lovetts so get the report and it should be good to go. If it's done 82000 miles that's average for the year in any other car so has been used as it should be. Bet they'd take £14500 just to get rid of it.
spoke to the guy about this car over the weekend .....its just has a small service at amain dealer in Cardif (is that dick lovat??)...PAS oil changed ......they note clutch 93% worn, and all tyres about 3000miles left each
Cheap cars are always cheap for a reason. That said if the price is right and the spec is what you want and you know how much it will cost to bring it up to standard then why not!
As I said, a report will allow you to determine if this is a cheap car for a reason, in this instance needs a clutch or indeed is actually VFM...if a good report comes back, but you need to do the research...simples.
Depends on what needs done, if you need a release bearing, flywheel etc.......then its a days work like the 4200......8 X 50-60 per hour.....mounts up ...
