Hi Nick and welcome......don't know the car, adverts reads well, it looks well, but we all recommend an independent inspection before you commit to buying.....costs a couple of hundred can save several grand!

Was just talking clutch plates and fitting Andy......you could do the flywheel every 2nd clutch as some say too for another few hundred!

Sorry Frank...2400 includes balancing...which you should do by all accounts......This is from Robert Aerspace...........

Clutches need dynamically balancing on the vehicle as varying the balance of the clutch cover plate is what keeps the whole rotating mass of the torque tube transmission in balance. If this isn't done, then the gearbox will destroy itself very quickly. If you are told that it doesn't need doing or that the clutch is already balanced, walk away.
This price includes fitting and balancing the clutch and upgrading the software to the current version. Occasionally, some other parts may need to be fitted such as release bearings etc, but this will only be known when the car is taken apart.

Yes...there are some who say they can do it without the SD kit........but would expect it done in any quote/work from any reputable indie etc

I seem to recall having a chat with my indi a couple of years ago...
I'm sure he said that the piece of machinery I was looking at was now worthless, as clutches on the 4200 no longer needed to be balanced...
I am not 100% sure, so will ask him the next time I am there and post the response.

Thanks to you all for the warm welcome

I've been a member for a month now I think? Lots of reading been done. I must say how very knowledgeable you lot are!
I have been absolutely hooked of the 4200 for a good six months now. I thought it would be just a phase, but I think it's worse than that....I am in love. Just waiting for the missus to buckle under the immense pressure and 'we' can have one.
The reason I asked if anyone knew about the car is that normally you guys know where most of them have been before. I was mightily impressed for example when someone said about an 05 4200 that was in auction, they said it had been badly damaged and wasn't to be touched, Wow, you can't buy that kind of info normally!
