For sound they take some beating but they are heavy, slow and the tech is pretty old. I think any foray into the brand now would be MC20 but that would feel pretty underwhelming after the Peff. Nice problem to have. Harris seemed to say he'd have it over the usual Porkers and Fezza's of the time so it's great to see that Maserati are back!
I can't agree that a Strad is slow or these days even heavy. It is a car that is faster than a majority of cars on the road so is hardly slow.
If a Strad is slow and heavy I'll take slow and heavy every day of the week.
Chris Harris loved driving the new Lotus Emira which is by your metric slow and also not particularly light for a car that size. Like Chris I'd have one and all the cars like it every day of the week. How much more does anyone really need?
I also have no desire to brag about anything so all the old and slow stuff suits me just fine. Outclassed and outdated.......just fine and dandy with me.
I've had loads of cars all that hit 60 in 4.5-5 secs and they were all plenty fast enough for me. In fact too fast for the public road most of the time.
At no point ever did I think.....you know what this car needs and is lacking.....more power!
More usable power more of the time and more enjoyable more of the time is the kind of car I want. I suspect many on the forum are the same. The Maserati has always been the thinking man's Ferrari and for good reason.
I guess some people don't like to think too much
Each to their own and we are all different but to call a Strad slow, heavy and outdated is just not most people's opinion on here I'd suggest. Doris from number 64 will p1ss in her knickers if she drove one!
