140k mile 3200

It should be perfectly serviceable, the engine on the earlier 3200 is a strong bit of kit. If those miles have been motorway miles and the car PROPERLY serviced then there really shouldn't be much of an issue. The white wrap probably covers a multitude of sins in the paint. I'm going to watch to see how much or little it goes for. Might be an interesting "hack" car!!

No but I have sent it to a mate who has a little bit of a fetish for them. I reckon it will top out around 5.5k - 6k.

Well I'm not a full believer of this "It's worth more in parts" thing after chatting to various breakers who tell me that the used parts game is extremely difficult and that people are simply not prepared to pay a premium for decent used parts. I think depending on the car your figure may be bang on really.

Spoken to the owner, seems ok really, only uses it for weekends etc.. back box is blowing a little he said. Done the control arms on it recently. It's a car that would really need a look over prior to bidding to be fair but he said he will let it go at whatever the winning bid is.

a 3200 on eBay as "spares or repair" will be around 4k, based on others in the past....doors, wheels, engine etc...all in demand....the front grill is £200!!

And those grilles are hard to get hold of. Worth keeping one as a spare for the future imo...

At least its a maserati and therefore you expect it to be expensive. Capri Mk2 grills can go for that although average is £100 -150 and sell very quickly at that price.

For sure, it's always interesting to see how prices fluctuate on car like the 3200. They dropped to what could have been an all time low (we hope) in the last 2 years and seem to be firming up a bit now. On Pistonheads there one car at 7k but looks like it is accident damaged and the rest are all over 10K with the highest at 17k. Average price is around 13k. I wonder where they will be in another years time? When will 3200 prices creep higher than those of 4200's? Based on age of vehicle surely they are there now?

prob going to upset someone here (or quite a few maybe?) but looking at this coldly with a collector eye, of the 3 early models (32, 42 & GS) the 32 may be considered to be the least "sorted" of the 3 cars but imo it will become the most sought after of the 3 as they age........so agree, the price will firm and even rise on these I expect.
