It's more the final positioning of the cars. I did agree with the winner, though... just remember if reading that the single page conclusion isn't the end of the feature before hitting me (in particular) passing judgement :)

Regarding the GranSport – it's something I'd like to do but we've done a Quattroporte V pre-facelift, a 3200, a Ghibli II Cup, a Ghibli II 2.8 and a Quattroporte V facelift, and we've got another couple of features on the horizon so it may take time to get around to a full feature...

In fairness, we placed a 3200 ahead of a BMW M6, Bentley Continental GT, Jaguar XKR and an Aston Martin DB7 in issue three. And while the QP didn't win the test, the E39 M5 didn't win the saloons group test in issue two.

Seeing as we haven't written the article yet, let's not rush to conclusions.

Having thought about it a great deal, I alas think it's a bit too much of a stretch, especially as I'm not a hands-on mechanic (the engine swap on the W123 took rather a long time, if anyone reads Classic Cars magazine...) Also if the worst happens, there aren't many Maserati specialists...
