    Maseratis - Spotted

An exciting day on the roads of Cumbria & SW Scotland as I saw two Maserati's. A Silver/Grey Ghibli KRM * on the A75 towards Dumfries and a blue Levante/Grecale just West of Carlisle. Don't think I've ever seen two in a day before. One must admit, to feeling ever so slightly common, for just a...

    Alfa Milano

It's sometimes hard to judge the size of these chunky modern SUV's in comparison to older cars. I like to use carsized.com to play with what in your head are similar sized cars and see the actual difference! The 'Mini' being the simplest and most obvious example.

    dash-cam: worth it?

I am always sceptical about not needing insurance companies involved now since being involved in a court case (not directly) where a van clipped the rear off-side bumper of a parked car. The rear light was broken and a small amount of damage to the rear bumper. If that had been my car and the...

    Funny or clever number plates

My first "dealings" with an Italian car was my Dad's Fiat 132 (Auto with plush velour interior!). He bought and I presume sold it with a private plate on it: 3181 BB. We knew it as Big Bertha. I got passed by a Bentley Continental on the M6 near Preston wearing it about 10 years ago. Thought...

    dash-cam: worth it?

Where does the rear camera go? I ask because my rear privacy glass makes visibility an absolute nightmare at night. I can see car lights behind me but wouldn't have a clue what kind of car it was. Can't imagine a camera would be any better seeing through it.

    Shares to watch

KEFI Gold & Copper are the bane of my life but I'm still hopeful. Bought in at about 4.5p 7 or 8 years ago and watched my money disappear as their first mining development in Ethiopia was side-lined by civil war. Now down to just over 0.5p but I have carried on buying and got my average down to...

    Hideous BMW

I usually like BM's but this, that I saw promoted recently, is absolutely hideous. Back end looks like about 6 of them designed a part each over the weekend at home and then stuck them together on Monday morning in the office. A beautiful car, for me, should be uncluttered with flowing lines...

It looks like I'll have to settle for driving the same car as The Penguin:

    Childhood Maserati Introduction

I had that one and also this one. I hate teenage me for destroying or losing all my toy cars. Wish I could go back and slap the spotty git!

    dash-cam: worth it?

I was travelling up the A1(M) on Friday night after picking my daughter up from Uni and I was fairly motoring in the outside lane, when a Ford Puma (one of the newish ones not the old type) came flying up behind me. He must have been doing 110-120mph and as he couldn't get past me, swerved...

    Ghibli Diesel due a service

Hi, I've done 12,000 miles in the Ghibli, since I got it in June last year, so it is now due a service. I'm based in West Cumbria and google says my nearest independent specialist is a 300 mile round trip away in South Manchester, so I don't think that is practical and I will have to use my...
