OK, getting the car back from Joe Macari tomorrow.
They claim nothing has drained it and it is down to the short mileage trips I do.
I'm not convinced as on the Friday before the Sunday when it was flat I did a round trip of 200 miles.
I will get a charger of some kind and will Google CTEK...
OK, firstly I didn't realise the door handle had two sections to it so I managed to get in just as the RAC (sent by Maserati assistance) turned up.
As suspected the car has a flat battery and was only showing 6 volts. The guy connected his pack and the car started. I'm not sure if he is...
I'm pretty sure it's not the key fobs.
Now when I press either key to open the indicators flash (dimly I thought) but there is no beep. The doors do not go green and I cannot get in the car, even with the using the key in the manual lock.
I'll call Maserati assist.
OK, came to the car just now, pressed the key fob to open the car, the alarm did the usual two beeps but the light on the door didn't go green and I can't get in.
I pressed lock and it beeped once again as it usually does.
Now, with either key, nothing happens.
I presume it is the...
Just a quick post to say thank you for the heads up on letting the ignition lights go out before starting.
Having adopted this process the difference in how smooth the clutch operates is huge. Thanks muchly!! :thumb3:
Ah, now I'm not sure on the starting but will try that from now on, thanks for the tip.
Happy too hear any other pointers or tips anybody has with Granturismo ownership :thumb3:
Many thanks for the kind words guys.
I'm still not 100% sure about the plate. I've had it for a while and was waiting for something a bit 'wow' to put it on. This certainly fits the bill I suppose.
I know private plates are subjective but personally I'm a fan, even if they are used so as not to age a car, and so far this is...
Hi all, I thought I'd post a quick update of my experience with my new (to me) 2013 Granturismo Sport after a few weeks of ownership.
Anyway, firstly here she is...

I love the colour and it attracts a lot of attention everywhere it goes. As you will all know already it sounds...
OK, it's all fixed now.
The mechanism itself was sticking and just as dickygrace suggested above the second bout of pushing teh flap in seemed to release it. The mechanism looks a little grubby so some WD40 has been applied and it now works every time.
Once again, thanks for your help guys :-)
OK, found the cable and opened the flap.
All fueled up now but the proper method via the dash button is definitely not working.
Having only had the car a week I'll get onto Maranello first thing Monday as I'm away to Europe in it on Friday.
Once again, thanks for your prompt responses.
Home now with 10 miles left on the computer!
For info the 'Fuel tank door' is page 96 in my book - "Maserati Granturismo Sport"
I'll try pulling the cable in the boot shortly and report back as the wife is out
Thanks for your prompt help guys!
