As some may know, occasionally the bolts which secure the CCM rotors to the brake bells on the GTS MC Stradale suffer from corrosion and the head of the bolt breaks off.
This also happens to a lot of Fezzas as I understand it, and the only solution from the factory is to replace the complete carbon disc, at horrific expense.
The good news for Strad owners, as well as Ferrari California and 458 owners, is that there is now an alternative. @Mr S and I have been working away and we have now had some replacement bolts made out of high spec stainless steel (the same stuff used to secure F1 brake discs), by a company that carry out precision machining work for various F1 teams.
So now, if you have a failed bolt, there is a solution that doesn’t involve spending £6k on new discs.
If anyone needs replacements, drop me a line.
