I must admit to also being a fan of the Arnage T but something has always prevented me from going down that route. Maybe it's the danger that once you do there will be no way back to the Massie/Ferrari/Lambo stable!
Maybe when I'm 50..

Ferrari have had years to perfect the art of making supercars ( and still sometimes **** up - Ferrari FF anyone? ) but mclaren have only had a few years...... Give em a chance.....

And they are British....

....not sure its a prettiness issue.....more a 458 trumps MP12 in many other areas too

There are pleanty of stupidly cheap Bentley GT's out there ~ I struggle to see how you could loose money on one other than repairs. They seem to read as very reliable, solid motors. As others have said, stick some winter/off roading tyres on the X5 and it will transform it, the down side is they will be noisy on the motorway...

Vredestein do a great all year tyre for SUVs which will probably be enough to cope with winter in southern england.

Sounds like you might have a few less days to count than me there Frank :)

But jokes aside. Like the QPs once over 5 years old, a 7-10 year old Arnage T is one heck of a lot of car for the money. You can even pick up a very early T for low 20s (obviously you'd need to tread carefully and avoid a money pit if you went down that route). But I guess its all personal preference and what the car says about you. I appreciate that the T would draw the old footballer and transport business owner from up North vibes... but hey, who gives a monkeys what anyone thinks.

Dan, I appreciate that you need to raise some funds for business interests, but if 20-30k would do, wouldn't an early Murcielago (at around 70-80k) not be a great (and highly tempting) coup for a youngster like you? :)

Ah, now seen some other posts about dog food! Out of solar pv now?

It's the tyres on X5s that are ****, change those and it would be ok.

There are lots of big saloons that are cheap, the Bentley Conti has low values..................then there is a QP.

Enjoy what you get.
Get yourself a good old Range Rover Vogue P38 my old 2000 W plate looks good and does the business in every way.
Phil.

Didn't know that Frank. I always took you for a spring chicken! ;)

I must agree with your wise ol words of wisdom, 20-40k presents a plethora of options, if you do your homework and work out all the running costs!
