Yeah, I tend to get that way...! Thanks...think there's a path forward...we shall see. But that still leaves me thinking through how to move the Spyder on...

I’m sure that the right path will present itself. I always insist on a first refusal clause at point of sale and in any advert which seems to give buyers a degree of confidence.

If the seller got close to asking price then that's good news for me, as I have a slightly lower mileage car which needs some tinkering and I have bene in two minds about spending the money.

I saw that come up for sale and thought it looked nice but not perfect. Maybe it was the bright sunlight in the photos and the black on black but some areas didn’t look that clean.

I am surprised it went so quickly given the other two private sales are hanging around (yes higher miles, but lower prices etc)

I guess we don’t know if it sold or not. Just gone off autotrader. Maybe if it was SOR the owner got cold feet and decided to keep it!

Ye gods, realized I never closed the loop on this. Though I think everyone knows the punchline by now. Didn't buy the DS car because the dealer turned out to be unbelievably squirrely...car was on consignment and though we had agreed a price he had apparently not gotten the OK from the seller. Bought an 08 QP GTS (yes, with the auto box but also with paddles) off a seller on the other place and have been absolutely thrilled with it. Has stood in as a daily for a bit, and is just a beautiful machine...with window regulator issues. But I can live with correcting those...
