I'm surprised too, unless it is not the circuit pack car.
It's not
I didn't want a circuit pack car , 0-60 in 5.5s and 4wd will be plenty for me , I've never been on a track in my life and have no intention of starting now

i would've had the convenience pack if thats what it was but there's enough equipment on this one and it's 3k cheaper.

The Yaris GR is without doubt a great car. When reviewed they say it’s the Integrale of its days. The only thing for me is the Integrale looks amazing with it’s wheel arch bulges and attitude this I wouldn’t give a second look on the road no matter how great it is. Don’t get me wrong they have tried but I just can’t get excited about the way it looks.

The circuit pack really only adds the torsen diffs front and rear.
The wheels on the circuit pack are lighter, but horrendously expensive if damaged, and many are changing the springs and dampers anyway.
Diffs. I agree, normal driving probably no advantage.
For many, it's all down to future value/collectivity, everyone wants the circuit pack for being the highest specification.
If you just want it for being a good hot hatch, good price, Toyota reliability and excellent warranty, the standard car ticks a lot of boxes.
However, if just for a good hot hatch, it does have compromises too that can't be overlooked.
Dealer services every 6K miles/6 months (hassle more than cost).
Very small rear seats.
Very small boot space.
Limited rear view and no rear wash wiper, especially in winter.
Therefore for me, these compromises unfortunately excluded myself ordering one as a daily, well over a year before all the hype today, and thus why the circuit pack is the most popular.

I appreciate they're not for everyone, for many sports cars start at 400bhp and are all about the image as much as driving it, the only cars I've ever owned that turned me into a hooligan were the three I've mentioned though I'm expecting this to revisit those years a bit

These days exceed the limit by enough and some plank will upload their dashcam footage to the police or put it on youtube, I just want something affordable and reasonably economical under warranty

anyone looking for a cheap Touareg, the hardest part of the decision was letting that go

The service intervals are 12 months or 6000 miles @ £190 & £375 so every 2 years or 12k it'll need £565 in maintenance, I doubt I'll do 6k in it as i'm keeping the smart car so anything local will be done in that , I've also got used to a smart car boot so folding seats will be a bonus :D , my kids are 21 & 24 and both pushing 6ft but I can count on one hand the amount of times they've been in the car in the last 12 months

I certainly do not disagree. I have had more fun in cars with a lot less BHP than 400. You certainly do not need lots of power to have fun as per my GT86 comment. My 118 BHP mark 1 Elise was just brilliant. I defy anyone to drove it still and not have a big smile on their face as you put it into your favourite corner but I just want the car to look great as well and I don’t feel that with the little Toyota…But as said it’s an amazing little car.

Looks like the 6 monthly is a Toyota recommendation for a safety check on brake and clutch fluids, so not compulsory.

My 1300 Fulvia with all of 90BHP is an absolute hoot, loads of fun at sensible speeds no need for 400BHP especially not over here

L 555 REP and L 555 BAT are emblazoned on my brain front and centre!!

To be honest, that is what got me a) to go rallying full time in GrpA and b) got me into Subarus.

If I won the lottery, I would buy this car straight away.

There was the ex- Richard Burns 2001 Rally Great Britain WRC Impreza that recently sold for circa £650k if I recall correctly.

For me they are worth the prices. If I have to take out a car for a blast, it’s always a toss up between the Forester, the Impreza or the Pug 205.

Just wish I’d never got rid of my GrpA cars. I have the space now to store them but never did back in the day.

I've just found out the wheels on the circuit pack are £1000 each used on eBay , no idea how much they are from Toyota , you wouldn't want to be kerbing one of those

On a recent drive around the Brecon's one chap bought his slightly modified one, And yes, the 350 in the no plate refers to how many bhp it now has, and the wheels cost a 1/4 of the list price of the car.

Looks like one of Joss the Boss’s fans has got lost.

Never saw one of these in the flesh until Sunday, they saw another (or the same one again perhaps) on Wednesday. Good looking little car, but on the petrol station forecourt it made my Cooper S look like a giant!
