Drove one of these for an afternoon on a spirited run with pals. I liked it but it didn't make me want to sell a child to get one. I was pleased as I expected to be having to dream up all sorts of reasons to buy one but that wasn't necessary.

Good car, amazing press, maybe a touch over-rated?

Bought a circuit version a few months ago to use as a daily, really enjoying it so far.

Looking at the above was yours a convenience version?

Some people are in dreamland looking at the prices they are trying to get for these….

Mine was the standard car, I was on the waiting list to go on the waiting list when this popped up as a cancelled order so went for it.

Don't miss it though, a guy at the bottom of the street has a circuit pack, can't say as I've ever looked at it once and felt I wanted it.

I did enjoy driving it but it definitely needs another 50bhp

Sign of the times?
Maybe, but someone else is buying your weekend toy, eventually, it’s not vanishing into thin air. There are just fewer weekend toy buyers at the moment I guess.

Having said that, I’d say people spending hundred of pounds a month on their soulless white goods daily cars may be thinking again when their old school, cheap finance deals run out, and find they need to spend hundreds more just to stand still with the model and spec of said white goods daily.

Unless manufacturers financially support their cars soon I think there will be a big drop in sales of those, people will probably either downgrade within the same ‘brand’ or just buy a cheaper ‘brand’. We’ll see.

everyone seems to be selling there weekend toys

As one looking for an additional one, I'm not seeing this - There are few if any 'new' GTs on the market with the exception of the old and tired black and white ones that have been for sale all year or the very high-end ones that are just coming to the end of the last lease/HP deals but way above my price point.

The Toyota dealer that bought mine is probably sick of looking at it, they've still got it, it's up at £900 more than they paid me

With the motorway fee and paying somome to drive it to Swansea I'd think they're not far off break even money now, not on 0% finance though so that'd be where the money is I suppose, if they ever sell it

I still like them…..great cars, you will know more than I do but that price seems a lot consider what you could get for the money
