Been watching vids on exhausts for the GS, X-Ost exhausts seem to liberate a Ferrari scream type of noise which I would the car to produce when going through the rev range post 4k revs. No very recent vids however...Has anyone heard of this brand and know where it can be got in Europe?

Else I was thinking that a secondary cat delete with X pipe and a cat back 3rd party system would work. Budget would be around £2k mark. Which system would work best. ? Obviously the car would need to pass an MOT and I dont want to remove any pre cats.

Thanks

For 2k Larini sports cats with a X or H pipe will full full all of your needs! And also mean that you haven't got to worry about the potential of collapsing cats to worry about.

However, you could go the cheaper route and go for an exhaust fabricator and get them to do the sports cats and get an X on H pipe from Marios at Autoshield.

Because the Maserati version of the M136 has a cross plane crankshaft it will never sound like a Ferrari. And it’s all the better for that IMO.

Geoff has the right of it, but read the threads on the different types of manifolds on the GS so you know what you are getting into.

Thanks Geoff, so in your solution, you mean the secondary cats ? and the factory cat back system would stay in place ?

hi Mavster

Did you buy the LE GS from ADG?

If yes, do you know whether it has US or Euro Spec manifolds?

I have recently been trying to get more sound out of mine and my GS (which has the US manifolds with Cats built in) has Larini secondary de-cat race pipes, an unsilenced H-pipe centre section, and completely standard GS valves back-boxes.

It is now much louder, with a serious snarl... Because it’s got an H-pipe rather than an X-pipe, it’s a bit deeper and rumblier, rather than raspy and screamin. Total spent so far is just over £1200...

I definitely don't think I need any more noise, but I may at some point switch my H-pipe for an x-pipe... I’m not sure yet, but at times I feel it sounds a bit like I’m driving a muscle car.

Here’s a link

Thanks Jon for sharing

Yours seems to have a deep sound with the snarl/ripping sound overlaid on top :) so both mixed together

Still waiting for ADG to tell me which items on "the list" they will agree to fix. Not sure which manifolds it has, but I haven't been under it or know the difference the:(

GeoffCapes.

All you car clips sound mad :) loving each of them too

I will try sports 200 cel secondary cats and a X pipe, leaving the rest as it is as per Geoff's guidence as he seems to have a lot of experience. These exhausts sound pretty Ferrari like on my phone speakers,...at least. Do they in reality get that scream noise going when pulling hard ?
Thanks again

X Ost was produced by ex Tubi staff in Maranello. The are quite common on Ferrari, and appear quite well made. I am not sure if they are still in business though.
