OK, your convincing me.

Is the pic above of the red carbon actually that or a wrap or dipped?

There seems to be 3 finishes (id go the two tone black and red to tone it down a bit)

Screen bezel removal requires the entire dash facia to be removed.:

Lower side tunnel panels
Upper dash trim
Centre consul
Infotainment unit removal

Then the bezel unscrews from behind

It’s about an hours work:

Very tempting ! I already have the carbon packs, except the plastic around the screen & the area around gear selector.

I am a novice am feel nervous taking apart all these panels, is it relatively straightforward. What tools do i need to pry apart the panels?

Also, can anyone recommend the carbon wraps that match the OEM carbon trims the closest?

Right so the question for me is what colour/finish to do my white Strad, with red callipers and a very monotone black interior?

As it’s easily reversible I am prepared to go a bit crazy here.

Options:
Red to match the calipers
Carbon (it’s been done and it’s still black)
White to match the body
Mad mirror chrome
Something Italian flag based???

It's been a while now, did any of you guys have a go?
If so, what colours / finish did you go for?
Obviously pics needed as well lol.

OK Sam after last night's chat you've convinced me. I saw a GT Sport in blu sophisticato with carbon and a light leather trim similar to mine and it looked fantastic. I think the contrast would work better than the present alloy look. Photo's to follow

Cool. Let me know if you need me to dig out the link for the wrap I used. I think it was '3D carbon' one from amazon. Just check the reviews to make sure its a good'n.
Looking forward to seeing the finished article.

Now that the GT is MOT'd and Serviced (thanks to SportItalia!) it's now SORN for the winter. There's nothing else to do to it than get on with this job. I've ordered the trim tools but the choice of which Crabon Vinyl Wrap to go for is a minefield!
There's the common or garden 2D (flat vinyl sticker), 3D (maybe has a texture to it), 4D (has time warp capabilities?) and 5D (hmm up/down, left/right, texture, time dimension and what? gravitational or quantum properties?).

Seriously since mine is Oceano Blu I would like a MCV type of weave with the subtle Blue effect within the pattern. Any tips?

I bought mine with the interior trim wrapped already by a previous owner...it has a subtle yellow weave which compliments yellow stitching and yellow (controversial) brake callipers

So, my new GT-Sport came with most of the interior options already in genuine carbon fibre. However, this made the button panel to the right of the screen and the A/C control surround stick out like a sore thumb as they were still in grey/silver.

I still had some of the wrap left from my previous car (see above) so while I had the dash off to fit the android /carplay I decided to have a go at wrapping them to make it blend in better.

Before

72070

During

72071
72072

After

There is a slight difference in shade between the genuine CF and the wrap, and also the wrap doesn't have the same glassy smooth finish, but I'm happy enough with it and I'm sure you'll agree it looks much better than it did with the silver bits.

That does look great. Any reason why you decided not to wrap the plastic trim around the stereo? Ran out of wraps?

anyone know the carbon wraps that best matches the OEM carbon trims?

The trim around the stereo is all part of the NIT main unit, so would not be easy to separate from the buttons.
I actually don't mind the black rubberised coating thats on that, the screen surround and other parts of the dash, just didn't like the silver.

Has anybody done this/removed the trim in a QPV?
My QPV arrived with the carbon trim but I have removed the door section to fix the opening mechanism. The food trim panel is just "pull off" like the Granturismo. Weirdly the carbon is attached to a "structural" alloy frame.
