Is it not like most countries that you are resident in you have a month to start the registration process ?

Car has started the registration process here so will have a new Portuguese plate soon. Previous owner was Spanish resident but used the car here very occasionally

Well, I’m a little over 7 weeks into using the QP5. Touching wood, nothing has broken and it drives beautifully. It’s not a daily driver, but I’m using it very regularly and have put on about 1500kms in that time. It really is a joy to drive, and on the low traffic roads here the Duoselect gearbox remains a joy to use.

Having resolved that I plan to keep her here long term, my attention is turning to a few paintwork areas that could do with improving. The paintwork is mostly very very good, but there are a few marks on both bumpers, the sills have some roadrash at the rear, and both wing mirrors have a little corrosion. So will get these bits done for now.

And just to really test my wife’s patience a little further, I’ve just bought a 21 year old 34ft Italian sports cruiser. It will be interesting to see which bankrupts me first!

Excellent, boat thread required....I too have been testing SWMBO regarding boats.
Stage 1 of my master plan may be a charter...
Photos of her please, boat...that is.

The boat market has been really strong over the last year, both for new and used. Demand far outstrips supply, hence rising price.
Lets see pics of what you’ve bought!

Get a boat thread started! I used to sail loads in my early 20's and have been hankering after a sail boat ever since we moved to the coast.
Ironically my cycling club shares it's clubhouse with the sailing club which means I'm also a member of the sailing club.

I know it's a road to ruin, but.......

NB; Bernie Ecclestone's sound financial advice. "If it floats, flies or f**ks, better to rent it".

I was going to suggest that you should be able to pick up a free one on your local beach, but somebody beat me to it. But if you do need to purchase one, I don’t think you’ll break the bank getting a dinghy like the other club members have got!
