Would anyone enhance the negative connection to the battery for 3200?

Just curious, would and had anyone enhance the negative connection to the battery on 3200?

The reason I ask is because, recently, I notice my car's dashboard lights dim a bit and get back to normal quickly for a few times during the first few minutes when I started the car; then I read some posts in other forums on other cars that someone would add a few cables connecting the starter hulk, engine block to the negative connector of the battery to allow more direct current to be flow back to the battery instead of passing the hulk of the car. People say that would make the electric equipment more stable, especially for the cars with some ages. Of course, that may not cure the issue that I have in my car, just think would it be better to do that to my car as well.

For most of the cars, it could be done pretty easily as the battery is also at the front of the car, but for 3200, the battery is at the boot. So, just wonder whether anyone tried doing the similar project?

Thanks!

Absolutely agree with above. If you already have a decent earth connection, that will be the least of your worries.

If you felt the need to upgrade anything, an upgraded positive lead from the battery would make the most difference logically since the current carrying capacity of the body will far outweigh the positive lead, but unless you're experiencing problems I'd be inclined to leave well alone. That said, it might be worth checking the engine/chassis earthing cable connections as that could also have an effect on the charge voltage/current being fed back to the battery. Any of the electrical connections will benefit from a good clean and a coat of dielectric grease to prevent corrosion and bad connections occurring. In the absence of that Vaseline or similar would suffice, although not as effective.
