Mbappe 19, such talent - Belgium were my outside bet but France were the better team, they will take some beating

I thought that watching Belgium the other night. France didn’t let them play. Both Croatia and France are beatable.

Can you imagine being beaten by France in the final, we'd be the laughing stock of Europe what with Brexit and all

funnily enough I can't imagine Merkel standing up, pointing at us and saying" You got beat in the final."
How funny! Please all join me in laughing at the English.
Mind you, it would probably turn all the non brexiteers!!!

Or any other EU member, some at least got to the finals but others, Netherlands, Italy etc didn't even get to Russia.

I can see n o reason for the English team to hold their head up high regardless how the next two games go.

I think even if we exit tonight the team and Southgate have won over many fans and plaudits. Certainly the best team spirited show from England since Italia 1990.

Yep, agree with that. I have never known a world cup with so low expectation for England with people not interested plus the Russia issues at preset and connections.

TBF its been the best world cup for me too since Italia 90!

Me too, I thought England/Sweden was the most professionally played game I've watched in years , England/Columbia ,not so much , apparently there's a petition in columbia with over 20,000 signatures asking for a replay because the ref was biased and how that was never a penalty.

I was speaking to someone about how blatant the rugby tackle was right in front of the ref, straight away he said that'd be because somebody had a big bet on Harry Kane not scoring the 1st goal , sounds plausible , I can't think of any other reason a so called professional player would do what he did

Yep, agree with that.
In World Cup terms fair enough but are you forgetting '96. The spirit and England performances were IMSO much better compared to '90.
As for the supporters - fantastic, 3 lions and all that. Even though we got stiffed by Uri Gellar & "that" goal  the moment of the tournament:

Good performance but not as memorable as the 90 one. I remember being in Hard Rock Cafe New York watching the 96 game and no one was interested until it went to Pens. Then we were surrounded by umpteen Germans only in on it as it was a Binary outcome at the point and they knew they had a very good chance. Gutting wasn't the word! :(

I'm asking myself, will we ever win a world cup in my lifetime? Having been conceived just after the '66 final!

I am so, so disappointed.......had a tenner at 12/1 for Croatia to win 3-1 over 90+ ;) can just about live with that though.
To be as unbiased as I can be ( which I accept, is genetically difficult;)) I've never seen in all the years I've watched world cups (from the 70s) such a unbalanced post group grouping to give a team with limited ability the chance to get to a final, it will not happen again I think.
In reality England ran out of basic ability, Croatia will get humped by France because they are tier 2 too whilst France are clearly tier 1,England are maybe near top of Europe tier 2 but for most on here, the sad reality is they are nowhere near Europe teir 1 not even in 4 years, will not be.
Happy to admit, Scotland middle of Europe tier 2 and worried I will never go to a tourney again.......

Gutted. Kane anonymous. Not enough strength in depth and ran out of steam. Well done kids. Maybe in 4 years. We need to find an Mbappe fast
