Plasterboard is cheap, quick & easy to fix & always gives me the option to plaster or paint.

Even cheaper when Wickes c0cks the order up & delivers tapered edge boards instead of the square edge I ordered! 400 squid cheaper in fact

Not sure what other cost effective options there are. What were you thinking?

Always a worry when you have a move around and find you have two spare car storage spaces

Will be worse when brother-in-law moves into his new house and takes all his stuff out of the converted stable as there is another two spaces there as well!

Where are you located - I am sure we could fill those storage spots between us !

Just outside Potters Bar. I have 2 acres to fill so if the new house planning app fails maybe a car storage option to fill it instead

To be honest even if it goes ahead there will still be 1.5 acres sitting there empty.

Just make sure you bolt it down, they have a habit of sliding diagonally if not then your in a whole world of trouble...talking from experience o_O

I did ask the installer about bolting it down and he said it wasn't necessary but will look into it as do t want any issues.

This one weighs 570kg and is pretty **** heavy to move. Looks pretty substantial and most importantly has the mechanical safety locks.

Just got to change my garage doors now! One day it will be finished!!

It looks identical with the link sliders between the skids so I would say that is the same as mine.

OK, thanks. Surprised yours moves though as 570kg is a fair old weight to shunt. I guess a car at 1.6 tonnes is a fair weight in return though. Does it move when you drive up the ramp and also back off it again? By then it is squiff so a pain?

You will wonder how you even managed without it soon!

I hope so. First job is a new set of discs and pads all round on the XC90 at the weekend ;) Will be selling it soon and the existing ones are done. Just trying to get the XC90 & SL as good as they can be so will be sold in next month or two.

Got myself a new 18v Dewalt DCF899HN-XJ Cordless Brushless High Torque Impact Wrench so with this and the scissor lift it should make light work of the Volvo brakes.

Should give it a good workout. Just make sure it’s fully bled, on mine it was putting to up to the highest setting and running the pump until all the air popped out.

Just found a slight issue though. The TVR is too low! It fits but has next to zero clearance to get any blocks in. Could drive/sit 4 wheels in 1-2 inch thick wooden plinth/platform I guess. Then just noticed they do these so obviously an issue for very low cars:

I guess this solution is a bit more robust than some lumps of wood! Also much more costly!!
