I was talking to a guy about his Ford Model T, at the height they were building one every 9-10 seconds apparently! Unbelievable speed.

The figure I find staggering is by 1920 they were making a million Model Ts a year!!!

Yep - I made it in the dark blue S2000 with roof down (Roary the Rati is at his second home in Southampton!!) Swapped forum info for a glass of champagne with the owner of the GC WG60 in your pic Diw - and he was sharing it with the owner of the old black Citroen two cars behind your pic of the old car (my knowledge is limited - ie the pic just before the GC). Sadly someone managed a minor scratch on the Citroen but hopefully some advice and 'polish' from event sponsors Revival will solve the problem. I also spotted a blue Ghibli. Not sure why it had red calipers - maybe a warning the brakes don't work ;)

Sorry I missed you there.

I also had a quick chat with the owner of GC WG60, nice guy. Initially I thought he might have been you, but he claimed no knowledge of the forum, maybe I was considered too much of a hooligan. :). I was parked up next to my mates MC12 McLaren, which meant the GT didn't get all the attention it deserved.

The Ghibli was nice, maybe something as a replacement for a daily when I win the lottery :D

We ended up leaving a little early as it felt like the tone changed all of a sudden and the kids were rev-ing the nuts of a MK4 Golf diesel with huge black clouds coming out the back.

The S2000 always gets more attention than my Spyder. And yes engines did start revving and wheels spinning - I just hope behaviour like that doesn't destroy the event.
Next time we'll have to be more organised re meeting up!

I'm all for a bit of enthusiasm, but wheel spinning.... I thought the days of carpark burnouts were long gone...

I was down the far end furthest from the entrance, and they were encouraging us to leave the wrong way down the second entrance, someone left a decent set of 11s down there. Can’t imagine the rugby club being happy about that.

I’ll not lie earlier on we had a small amount of Exhaust noise from the McLaren and my Mas, but that’s because we were letting kids sit in them and start them up. Which personally given I’m lucky enough to own such a car, feel it’s our duty to share with the future enthusiasts, which was what hooked me as a kid.
