P.S - Mustard isn’t mustard if it isn’t Colman’s... unless it’s lovely French moutarde, when Maille is perfect!
Maille is versatile whereas my fav. is Pommery.
Also a Champagne house - to get the thread back on track

We would ‘boat race’ from bottles like that when I was younger and wearing a cheap green suit
Normal boat race or "head stand" - Thank goodness those days are now beyond me. Were great fun tho. Apart from the tubes in a stein of "special brew" - that always effected my innards and gag reflex.....

Wine glasses... have lots of Riedel (Vinum Extreme range, mostly) collected while we were in Japan. 6 of each, in a variety of shapes and sizes.

However, our day-to-day glass, and the brand we would adopt now if we were starting a collection is Zalto. Much more delicate in appearance, finer glass, but also dishwasher safe and not prone to going cloudy as a result. Their Universal glass works well for everything apart from sparkling and dessert wines. Not cheap to buy, but have proved to have decent longevity (apart from when a plate slid into a glass stem in the dishwasher).

Really doesn't work IME. Like those magic balls. No. Not those ones, the ones that are meant to be used for cleaning carafes

Question for all. How much wine is too much? The last month or so I've been getting through 2 glasses or so a night. The wife doesnt drink and I'm still experimenting with lots of types, but seems to think it's too much. Maybe because we both seldom drank before.

I would drink the lot, it's not good to leave things bottled up:p

Whilst we have carafes on the menu, a slightly younger friend of mine bought me this one for my fiftieth. The wooden stopper has a lovely inscription which I see every time I use it. I returned the compliment on his fiftieth.

This is the funniest thread I've read on here. We have some bottles of wine.....no idea what they are called. We also have wine glasses.....no idea who makes them....IKEA possibly! Their made of glass.

I'm not a particularly fussy person with a great deal of things in life. Wine and wine glasses being one....or two if you're being technical

I guess I don't drink enough to be that fussed about it......or know any different.

I know a good car from a naff one though. Even then I'm not too fussy. You can have lots of fun in a naff car as well.....sometimes more.
