Windscreen Wiper Arms.

I'm still trying to find blades that don't screech after a couple of uses. At the moment I'm trying Tesco's 'flat' blades, which seem to be behaving themselves so far, but it got me wondering..

Has anyone found alternative wiper arms? The arms on my 4200 are terrible, more like something you'd find on a Ford Fiesta circa 1982. Every time I use them they look like mangled coat-hangers!

Anyone found a more elegant replacement? ideally one that will take flat blades?

Sorry Miles, can't help with this one...
I replaced my blades with flat ones from tesco and did not like them,
so I then bought bosch ones, and guess what? I did not like those either,
so I then bought OEM ones and am very pleased I did!

Enzo, did you replace the arms also? Are they different on the QP?

Just had a look on Eurospares and yes they are different and do look better. Hmm I suspect they're too big, but I'll check into it further.

I did not replace the arms, just the blades...

Is it possible that Fiat wipers would fit as some of the fiat range or wiper arms are quite good looking.
I would doubt that it would be too hard to find a better option on one car or another.
Even my seat Ibiza blades are cool looking by comparison.

I will go to my local scrap yard in exeter on monday and have a look at what's available that fits and looks good.
Some of those curved blades work real well and dont squeek at all

I am betting the GTV Alfa will be the same as the Maser, its the same wiper motor.

Cheers Matt, Another one to check. I've started wandering around Tesco's (sorry Andy) car park at lunchtime checking out wiper arms. You have no idea how exciting this is compared to printing wallpaper!
