Window sometimes won't close, or closes in jerky 1-inch increments

Ok, well you are in trouble now! The theory is that you can poke a bit of stiffish wire through the channel in the rubber, and then attach the end of the sensor to that and pull it through. Or maybe use the wire to pull through some string or fishing line, and then use THAT to pull the sensor through, as it will be easier to attach the string to the sensor than the wire.

Good luck!

Can you delete the sensor and just not stick your head in the window when doing it up?

Maybe - I fear the computer would complain. I suppose you could buy a sensor (£75), plug it in and just not install it in the rubber surround, saving an hour or two.

I wouldn't do it, but until you got around to sorting it I just wondered if it was looking for a circuit/voltage/resistance that would stop the creep issue.
