Why the discrepancy in prices for the Ghibli II?

Has anyone else noticed? If you look at the average Ghibli II here in the UK, say on Car and Classic, Pistonheads or any similar UK platform. Then look on AutoScout24 and there’s usually around a 10k difference.

Any theories as to why this not insignificant price difference might be?

Most odd. Happy coincidence that I bought a left hooker in that case, should I ever come to sell her it would probably be on AutoScout24 in Europe.

Although, that said Brexit has spoilt straightforward trade with Europe for something like this. Mind you, even after I priced for tax etc. for anyone wanting to buy her and ship her over I’d still probably get more than selling her to someone in the UK.

Anyway, all hypothetical! Was just interested to see why there was such a difference?!

The Europe/UK price discrepancy is true for all cars, Maserati or not, that are remotely interesting. Continentals have been known to bid on Collecting Cars for British LHD Porsches, Ferraris et al. I'm based in Switzerland, where prices are yet higher. People have started to ask silly money for Ghibli GTs in particular.

Maybe something to do with GBP devaluation outpacing EUR over the past decade as opposed to CHF that has been appreciating over the same time.

Maybe so. Switzerland is nonrepresentative in many ways, though, what with the high salaries and still higher living expenses. There is a campaign right now for a referendum on a minimum wage of GBP 18 / hour.
