Why bother?

They really don't wan't to sell cars do they. Postponing a model that will sell like hot cakes to make way for a crossover. Seems like a poor decision to me, not that I'm in a position to buy either of them.

A replacement Granturismo with some really meaty V8 engines sounds interesting though, but suggesting it will be larger than the current GT doesn't bode well.

Larger!? The one thing, plus lack of funds. that stops me buying a GT is its size. It is a stunning shape, but, for me, just too big. I do think they will miss the boat somewhat by delaying.

It'll be a bit like the Alfa 159/Giulia sage. Lots of broken promises and the build date gradually getting further away. I got fed up with waiting for the replacement in the end, which is how come we ended up with the Giulietta. Bigger GT seems a bit daft too when you consider how big the current one is.

Looks like I need to amend my signature. Glad I didn't recently cough up the £5k deposit HR Owen asked me for. They'd have had an extra year or so of interest free loan from me!

Yes, the 3 series BMW coupe (e90) is actually 3 inches longer than the 32/42/GS (surprisingly), but the GT is 14 inches longer!!

So Maserati have finally admitted it. They have gone mainstream.
The flagship laviathan QP, the Ghibli and a 4x4 all made somewhere other than Modena. One thing is for certain, the GT will hold up very well and possibly everything else prior to the selling out to the bean counters.

Might just be the way it's written. You can read it in two ways - larger could mean than the Alfieri. And considering the size of the current GT, suspect that's the more likely reading

Sad to read that. Maserati is now open to public. Even the fat golden boy will have one..At least i am one of the lucky last original Maserati owners.
