Who is this Matt & SportsItalia he talks about?

Brilliant advertisement for Matt and the team.

I still am gob smacked of the shoddy protection Maserati gave the range against rust underneath. Just unforgivable on cars of this age…The fact that it could have happened after only a few years of life shows how Maserati really didn’t give a sh1t…You don’t expect this kind of shoddy workmanship on a Skoda Fabia let alone a prestige car costing 85k plus when new…..Whoever made that decision at Maserati should have a pull through with a very big Christmas tree….They will never get rid of that reliability reputation if they don’t sort themselves out. Thank goodness for specialist like Matt and the team.

Based on the thread title I was expecting a This Is Your Life-esque exposé, with sordid details and perverse predictions but you posted something about cars, what is the place coming too?

PS: Great advert for SI though.

Oi, leave the Skoda Fabia alone! :) Our has in 5 years covered 65K miles and is brilliant and not needed a thing other than (very reasonable cost) servicing. Completely solid in every respect and still super shiny when given one of its two washes a year. We love it and it will stay with us as long as it keeps doing what it is doing for as little as it costs to do it.

Other than that I agree with everything you say, and shame on Maserati.

I'm no car finance whizz but how can financing a 26k QP be only £100/month less than financing a £175k Scuderia? Maybe he put 140k down on the ferrari ?!

Or maybe its something to do with predicted residuals, but neither are going down in value.

If that’s only costing him £100 a month less than his 430 scuderia I wonder What he paid for it. Must be over different length term, surely.

Thought the same when I watched it. Sounds like he is not going to keep it for long anyway.

If it’s based on anticipated future value, it makes sense, the Wonky Donkey might loose £10k in 5 years but what’s the QP going to be worth? a packet Tropical Fruit Bubblicious and some Skittles.

I suppose the monthly numbers are devised to look how the customer wants to see them, no doubt by using several mirrors and a large amount of smoke.

Good film that.

Jut giving SI a shout out on PH.

I could have typed that out fully and used proper English but I couldn't be bothered.

You need to read it the other way…I wouldn’t expect these issues in a Skoda let alone a Maserati. My Dad has a Fabia and it has been very reliable indeed.

Yet another fickle YouTuber living on the edge of solvency to support a serious car buying habit. Whilst the car is in their possession it's the greatest thing ever. Once they've sold it, it was a terrible and glad they got rid.

PS: Well done SportsItalia though!

He put about 50k deposit into the Scud on a LP deal so in reality is probably very close to financing the interest only. The QP will be small deposit (if any) and a HP agreement with ownership at the end of the term so not really comparable.
