White UK GS anyone?

What!!!??? There aren't many white GSs/4200s around and there is a very, very good reason for that. As Alex deleted his post, he might have said that he doesn't like the white on the GTS either but positively hates the flat white on the GS, in which case Matt, you are on your own! Anyway, there are enough GSs about, so you don't have to have a white one if you wouldn't "choose it by choice". I for one wouldn't. P.s I know you shouldn't disagree with 'God', but sometimes you have to!!!

Benny during the 60's and 70's white was in vogue colour for cars. Fashions changed and black became the in colour. With this change you could not give a white car away until a few years ago it came bouncing back as the in colour replacing silver and to a lesser extent black. There are not many GS's around in white in the UK as these changes were in full swing during the latter part of the Gransports's production life. That said in the USA especially in Florida I have seen quite a few. It was also a very expensive extra to have a Gransport in white.

As for the Granturismo and Granturismo S it is becoming more common

Urby, the car for sale at the mo is not Fuji, its Eldorado - I don't think that was as prcied as Fuji when new.

In terms of rarity, there is only one Bianco Eldorado in the UK and this is it. Rare indeed.

As for the contrasting comment, I couldnt agree more.

White is no worse to keep clean than black. Fashion wise white is the new silver and I am still of the opinion that white with dark wheels and contrasting interior rocks

Think you hit the spot there UM.........Fashion...white is the new silver but I think we are coming to the end of that fashion statement as its been going on for a few years now......

Still agree that white dark wheels and contrasting interior is the dogs on the right car...........Matt, you choice of GTS is one of the best combo's for me...Stunning...

Urby, I couldn't agree more on the fashion aspect of your argument, it was once white, (early Golf GTi was a case in point) then black and now it's white again. Pretty ironic then that after many years of having white cars the police now spec all colours as the resale value of said white cars was pants. However, some cars just don't suit white and, IMO, the GS is one of those. It's purely a matter of taste and I don't like it. Although a BF GS is quite pleasant thanks to it's pearlescent effect I think the flat white and it's fleet association doesn't work and the wrapped 4200 was almost universally condemned and for a very good reason; it looked cr4p. It remains to be seen how quickly it shifts but if it is bought purely for the rarity value then I think the buyer has made a big mistake.

There is a reason its rare, and thats because no one liked the colour at the time.

White is a new fashion statement
In the last 3 years its become popular, so when the GS was out no one ordered it in white thats all

In the dying days of our time at Maserati Forum I tend to remember that there was a white Gransport for sale at a Maserati main dealer and so many members, and in particular Andy were wetting their pants at the thought of owning it. I reckon if anyone had a white Gransport they would have absolutely no problem selling it but as I said before it all comes down to personal taste. I hate Maseratis in green but green Maseratis especially 3200's sell very well. Equally I don't like blue Maseratis but equally there are so many that do

Nicely complimented with the carbon bootlip spoiler , looks good, perhaps worth having the wing mirrors in carbon aswell and maybe the front lip spoiler side extension aerofoils that Bigfoot had on his , that would make it look quite threatning but not overbearing with carbon in my view that is

Now imaging that car with boomerang lights, now that would look extra special!

Any chance Matty when you have a spare moment you could re image a silevr GS with either black or carbon fibre rear spoiler /wing mirrors and front splitter not the complete bumper just the lower splitter

anytime in the next 5 mins will be fine hahah

Thats the only car in the UK I would think about swapping my GS for...well, that an JMD's which is near enough identical.

...especially as JMD is running my old Larini Decat and mid box sections, as sold to him in a veterinarian's car park in Surrey.

Not worth any more than another colour unless it was a negative one. At the same price as a grigio nuvolari, black or nettuno, I don't think I'd choose it. Don't dislike it though. Fuji is definitely the one to have
