It must be an age thing as I now prefer Classics to moderns although I will probably always have a modern motor around.
At 56 it takes me back to Good Times with my Dad being in the Trade and having many special cars in the 60'S and 70'S.
Many Jags, Ferrari 330, Iso Rivolta, Porsche 911, Jensen Interceptor lots of HF Lancia Fulvia with his connection with the Jolly Club in Milan.
All very fast cars in their day.

Probably if I had a dream garage the oldest I would have in there would be a 1989/1990 E30 M3 or an old 911 maybe. But as I said I get why people like classic. There are some very pretty classic cars but just don't yearn to drive them.

Its funny that Andy as my most memorable driving car down here was my 77 XJC and that 4.2 could embarrass a few moderns with its 3 speed Borg Warner Transmission could still do its official top speed to ;)

Pram wheels and no brakes! ;) (Compared to modern.)

AG6 is a stunner but Bora all the way for me...a child of the 70’s I guess and I do love a good wedge.

Totally agree same with the nice 456 I had in TDF blue that only had 25,000 miles and full Maranello history probably more than double what I sold that for but hey ho I had the experience and took part in the Guinness World Record at Silverstone.

Given so many GS coupes are listed as spyders on the v5 I would take the HML data with a pinch of salt.
Yep, it's very wrong with Maserati Coupes and Spyders from last decade! McGrath have their figures correct.

Okay, so I'm clearly biased as I have a GS Spyder, but I'm so very pleased I now have her instead of the "regular" 4200 Spyder I had before. I love roof-down driving, so a Strad isn't for me; also I love how understated the 4200's are in the modern world and that suits me better. Driving is great fun. Hey, if you want to experience it and you're every around Oxfordshire then let me know!

Drive both, then decide.

That one that McGrath are selling is a stunning colour in the flesh.

Sister Maserati Frua. The background one is the very famous one discovered in a barn alongside a missing Ferrari 250 and sold by Artcurial a couple of years ago. It's been mechanically overhauled and clear coated, no other restoration has been done. They're owned by a prominent collector called Jonathan Segal who is an architect based in San Diego. Amazing cars, you should check out the rest of his collection and the amazing garage he built to put them in by following him on Instagram. Amazing taste.

Dicky...howmanyleft.uk suggests that there were about 120 odd that suddenly appeared on UK roads in 2006/7. That would surely be reflective of app 240 in total...as Aus would likely have scored a few dozen....some to honkers, Singapore, NZ and South Africa for instance. I'd love to think the GS Spyder is as rare as 2 dozen RHD units.....but I'm pretty sure it's about ten times that number.

Howmanyleft is woefully inaccurate. If you’re pretty sure, that’s fine. I know for sure that the UK production was 26, I said about 17 earlier but I’ve just checked my records. There are nowhere near the numbers you’re stating. Aus may have had 5 or so, same for SA, Malaysia, Cyprus, HK and Singapore. I’d say tops 50 of the total of the 472 worldwide. The vast majority of these will be LHD European or USA cars.
