Where is my Navtrak Tracker (Gransport)

Can anyone tell me where the tracker will be within my Gransport - i’ve kept meaning to rip it out for quite a while - Due to suspect the battery drain but never knew where it was. Whilst I’ve got some downtime, it’s on my list of things to do. So any ideas what it is would be helpful.

Thanks

It varies for security reasons. There was at least one thread on here before with possible location including ** * ** * *** * **** **** IIRC.

Will try and find it.

The latter being the most common , also *** ** * ** ** ** * * ** ****

I’d start with taking the ** *** out and looking for ‘added’ wires on the constant live,

I found most of it in the 4200 in * ** * ****. Truth is it doesn’t all need to come out...

Should we really be posting where trackers are on a public forum???

I think the pro thieves know where they are Peter, I'm not sure many owners have active trackers these days either, the insurance companies don't want the agro and give no discount for having them fitted. There aren't many places to put them in the cars anyway. When my 4200 was nicked, they couldn't find the petrol flap release so just jemmied the flap off! They did something like 400 miles in it before the clutch went completely.

Didn't take me long at all to find mine and remove it on my second one in NZ when I was repairing the damaged floors from the Shipping Container incident.

Yep pros will do but the boys out for a joy ride as you found out wouldn't know, therefore do we still want to put this info out there ?

Didn't we have something like this some years back and Matt (or an admin) told us to only PM this sot of information to protect the cars with these still installed.

Deleted.

But if they’re able to get everything out to get to it they could probably get a job in the service department.

Understand the sensitivity, but am looking to do the same thing on my 2008 GranTurismo, so if anyone can PM me where to find mine, I'd very much appreciate it.

(Fitted a new battery recently to eliminate it as the culprit, but still get the occasional drop off of charge - have a CTEK Battery sense fitted, so never let it drop off too much!)
