When will Catman buy another Maserati

The W12....! I also had that itch. Having an engineering background I just had to.

Bentley GTC in British Racing Green.

I discovered a whole other level of service costs! At one point I was advised during its pre-servuce health check that a) the cigar lighter was ejecting at the wrong temperature and b) the glove box lid was opening too fast!

Each was north of £150 to fix!

On a more serious note I discovered that the GTC was incredibly heavy on brakes, suspension and batteries.

But what an engine. The acceleration was pretty much linear from 0 to 150 and only slowed marginally after that!

Not a C and not in green. The build is just out of here, and the parts (from a lot of my research) really aren't that bad. Just buy them in a box marked 'VW' instead.

My biggest fear (so far) is that it's too refined!

I am Danish. Car tax is basically 180% on top of new UK price.. PLUS 25% VAT on top of that!!
I lived in Copenhagen for a year (Sydhavn) and I was aware of that tax, and the extreme number of Telsa Model S's on the streets that at that time as they attracted no car tax at all. I believe that's changed now...

Still miss the pølsevagnen outside the station. I'd just like to add the Danish language is basically just mumbling!

Is that to encourage use of public transport or just so a car is as expensive as everything else in Scandinavia, how much is petrol per litre

After living there for I while I found prices not too bad, Dublin is certainly a lot higher. Shop at IRMA and it's not cheap, but there's Aldi and Lidl so there's no need to pay top Kronor.

Tax was good, 32% straight off the top line, no allowances, not bad. I was paid nearly twice more there than I am now!

Went to Malmo for a trip and found a British Shop and a tin of baked beans was something like 4 quid! I like the way the Swedes call Køvenhavn Köpenhamn, pronounced Sherpenhamm. At least I could follow Swedish language (and Norwegian), Danish is weird!

It’s not that weird... ;)
I was taught how to say the name of the pedestrianised street, Strøget - apparently it's like 'Strerrrl' though every time I tried it was 'no, not quite right...'....

And how can 'Med' (Food) be pronounced 'Mel'? lol!

To me the first syllable was as it looked, the ones on the middle general mumbling and the one at the the opposite of what you think! I can still read it quite well but speaking no chance...

Loved Vega tho, never went in The Spunk Bar, bit unsure, saw an ice cream van with a dinging bell instead of chimes, that was great but it was bloody cold too. No way did I fancy and ice cream.

Yes Andy, I've had my classico over 8 years and I don't think in that time you have owned a Maserati after your 3200?

I had two children and a bigger house to put them in. My days of a fun car disappeared after that...Not that I'm complaining as I have two lovely children. If I was to have a Maserati it would need to be a daily drive and as I do 80 miles a day it just isn't going to happen. Looking for a Mercedes E class Coupe at the moment and I could easily afford a QP as its the same money but that would be financial suicide. Running cost would stupid doing 20/25k a year...Add to that when I tried to sell no one would want it if the current market is anything to go buy and then I am well and truly out aim afraid. Looking at Maseratis if ai was to buy it would have to be a keeper as the market looks like it's getting smaller and smaller each year so it would have to be a second car....

Made in jest Andy, with you owning a few BMW's rather than Maseratis in the time I've been on this forum.
I do also agree however now our kids are nearly/ at high school, the justification for an expensive toy car is difficult that has little usage in reality, and if I didn't already have my classico, I wouldn't be looking to buy one.

That has depressed me as the age, colour, miles is a near mirror image of mine but wow these things are now cheap and that's retail.

Mine is a tad younger and is Euro 5 whereas this one in Euro 4. I do wonder if that will start to influence purchase choices as cities bring in more exclusions?

Mine was sold to me as Blu Oceano, but on closer inspection (the sticker under the bonnet) it was Neptune..

Either way, lovely colour.

TBH I'm surprised anyone puts 20-30k into a 10 year old Maserati, you have to really want one, easy to buy, impossible to sell privately , if you get an offer at all it's likely to be the only one.

Gradually the brand is becoming the luxury arm of Fiat as Lexus is to Toyota.
