When fitting Larini Sport Cats and X pipe are there any other parts one might require?

That looks a whole lot nicer then the crappy thing I have.... What do you reckon? Not sure it'd make any difference to the noise though. However toying with the idea of going back to OEM. (and then gutting the back boxes) You must have some lying around?

Hi all, Since most of the guys I've chatted to on this forum in the last year are on this thread thought id put something here first (before the Ads). Am thinking only at this stage of selling my MC. It will have a 4 yr service soon which i will do. Car has 5500 miles on it. Near mint. You guys know it from my posts and what ive done. I may have the CATS removed and sell separately- it depends on where it sells / whom to. Anyone have any advise on the car. You can PM me if you want. Im sure you can guess the ££ range fairly accurately. Not definite, but a new job / company car may result in this sale. Just putting feelers out.

Hi all,
If anyone wants to buy my LARINI CATS ive just removed them from the car. Please note they fit the auto box models not the Strad f1 style. They have 1000 miles on them since new just a few months ago. Will also post it on another thread. PM me if interested.

Interested to know how you figured out what to do for the drone.

I never had any drone on my qp with sports cats, x pipe and empty rear boxes. Strange how some do and some don't. I always wonder if there is a mistake between loud and drone sometimes. At some rpm loud can be as wearing as any drone.

Hello guys

To add to this thread for my 2p worth.

I had an X pipe from autoshield which definitely enhanced the experience. I ran this for 18 months and wasn't planning on changing anything.

I ended up buying Ash's larini cats (earlier in this thread) and opted to go with sports cats and original X pipe.

This lasted 2 weeks.

I ended up refitting the autoshield X pipe with the sports cats.

The sports cats alone gave a lovely tone and nominally more power at higher revs but lost the 'silliness' that my small mind enjoys (and the X pipe delivers).

Combining the two is awesome (and I would whole heartedly recommend (if you have no / accomodating neighbours)) but if I had to pick only one it would be the X pipe every time.

Sorry to revive this thread but I hope those of you in the know you can provide me with a few answers as I’m seriously contemplating getting the Larini sports cats alone (everything else will stay stock) for my 2007 QP Sport GT Auto:

1. Does fitting the sports cats affect emissions and fall foul of ULEZ? At the moment my car is ULEZ compliant.
2. Are there likely to be any MOT issues arising from the cats, perhaps related to Q1 above?
3. Is it best to buy them from Larini direct in the UK?

Thank you in advance!

ULEZ is based on the factory emissions so as long as you pass an MOT you are good.

You might need to make sure they are fully warm before going to the MOT, to make sure there aren’t any issues.
