When fitting Larini Sport Cats and X pipe are there any other parts one might require?

Im using MK hydro dipping (Northampton) Gregg. His work looks good, but i will see soon. the 3 covers are costing £400 - no VAT. not bad. someone else was quoting £500 + vat
Is that in Wollaston? That's who did all my trims for £300 I think it was. He did one with the carbon in the opposite direction but rectified it straight away. Have you been there? Don't go in the strad. The roads are shocking around all the buildings.

Yeah thats it. You got it. I dropped the covers off last week, but i took them in the back of my Q7, wasnt wanting to take it somewhere i wasnt sure what the area was like... im glad i didnt. yeah its a bit of a back street farm set up with pot holes all around, but i was in the right car, not the MC. Luckily.... he seemed to be a good chap and said he would get it bang on even if he needed to re-work anything..

Hi. yes i will post some photos when its done. When i saw another car photo with it done i was sold because it looks brilliant. Theres so much of that black plastic it simply yells out - Carbon me...... ! Ive got tons of carbon on my car from factory so it will match really well. The guy who is doing the dip, said to wait a month when his finished to re-install them. Hes advised to keep them inside to allow them to harden as he is putting 4 clear coats on to really protect his work. Ive also decided to fit a badge to the centre front cover also. Theres a few pictures around but its tricky to get the right look. and the surface isnt totally flat for stick on maserati badges. The problem we have on the GT is that the "V section" of the front cover (area which is lower and recessed in the middle) measures about 345mm across towards the top end of the V area - as it enlarges at the top. The new model maserati rear badges are 340mm wide. so it JUST fits but looks a bit too wide and high. So i searched around. A 4200 rear badge bolts on with 3 nuts. Its also 290mm wide so will fit lower down and wont look too wide. it will also bolt on and therefore wont unstick itself on uneven area. This is the idea anyway. Will def send pics when it done (pre install) and fitted in about a month or so.
Have started a new thread on this to show the progress.

Question to those who have bought an X-Pipe from Larini.
Did you X-Pipe come with new clamps tig welded on the end? Ive just noticed my pipe doesnt have any clamps. Pics on the Larini website show it with clamps.

thanks

you might want to get some toothpaste as the whole world will see you grin whenever you drive the car.
That just what happened. :D Its different to be honest, id say like others have you loose a little tone in certain ranges, but the aggressive volume is so satisfying.. its savage! Love it.. It definitely feels sharper on throttle response too. 100% sure its quicker.

Morning. I slept on it last night... not literally. ;) I've thought about the tone change and volume etc. Whilst I'm grinning ear to ear and have already scared a few folk - I'm curious to see what its like with the standard x-pipe back on it - keeping the CATS of course. I would have always wanted to try and x pipe and cats anyway, no matter what so its not a waste to start this way. I think in the coming weeks i will get my fitter to swap out the x-pipe and compare. Then i will decide which way to go. I think its worth it so i can know for sure how the different configs sound.. Probably will end up with the Larini x-pipe and cats in the end, but curiosity beckons me. the fitter isn't expensive so why not play around for the sake of £100... if and when i do it will post again.
