When fitting Larini Sport Cats and X pipe are there any other parts one might require?

If the part number is the same the part will be the same. At least it is on everything else where there is a part number crossover.
thats what i thought too. Its just the prices are different for the exact same p/n. i ordered the cheaper price which was the Ferrari one line..

Have had the Larini Sports Cats and X pipe fitted to the Granturismo by the Sportsitalia chaps - I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Giggle factor? Off the scale!! If you are considering doing this I HIGHLY recommend it. Makes you want to drive with the Windows down, even when it's nippy out and tunnels....good grief; they're just such a superb aural treat you'll want to turn around and go through 'em again. And again.
Many thanks to Matt, Kevin, Ashley and Dave for their excellent service, it was a pleasure to see my Car worked on by such trusted hands; I'll definitely be back - I'm a Sportsitalia convert for sure!!

I find the x drones a bit, whereas the cats sound oem+. The two together must be modern Lamborghini obnoxious loud.

I used to demonstrate all types of classic cars for a firm that did short and long term hire, but one of my favourites was a heavily modified Mk2 Jaguar that really did sound like a Supermarine Spitfire...#went like a Scalded Cat!!; a 4.7 Granturismo with Sports Cats and X pipe ( especially @ 5/6 grand) reminds of that : how a high performance car engine ought to sound. Hells Bells- enjoy it while you can; what with the Joyless Battery mobiles forthcoming and the equally joyless tw#ts putting up "sound sensitive" ( not speed) cameras ( another cash generator) now, it will be yet another bit of freedom lost in our country - once gone, never to return.....my exhaust valve lines are plugged so the 'full monty' is always playing; I have had nothing but positive appreciation from neighbours so far and admiring nods from other car drivers ( so far) - of course, you don't need to use high revs all the time..... But the NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!

Im waiting for Larini to deliver my Cats and X pipe. Hopefully it should be this week. Booked my install for Feb 11th. Good to hear you are super impressed. I took ages to decide on the CATS and x-pipe. I was tempted to do the CATS first, but i was told the X was a must... so have gone for the both.. So while im waiting for these bits ive also taken off my engine covers and am having them hydro dipped in black Carbon
.

Hello Ashventini
Please post how you get on with the hydro dipping/ carbon fibre effect; it's a thing I've been contemplating as the only thing I'm not too keen on is the amount of black plastic under the bonnet! Best of luck with the sports cats & X pipe, one the best moments for me was the road test and hearing the car in the distance....! Epic!

yeah they look nice buddy.. very cool. . My engine
covers will look very similar.. i hope they turn out good, that front one is huge on the GT, but thats why i think it warrants it. Rest of my car has loads of carbon from factory.
Agreed. It is on my list of to do's.

Hi. yes i will post some photos when its done. When i saw another car photo with it done i was sold because it looks brilliant. Theres so much of that black plastic it simply yells out - Carbon me...... ! Ive got tons of carbon on my car from factory so it will match really well. The guy who is doing the dip, said to wait a month when his finished to re-install them. Hes advised to keep them inside to allow them to harden as he is putting 4 clear coats on to really protect his work. Ive also decided to fit a badge to the centre front cover also. Theres a few pictures around but its tricky to get the right look. and the surface isnt totally flat for stick on maserati badges. The problem we have on the GT is that the "V section" of the front cover (area which is lower and recessed in the middle) measures about 345mm across towards the top end of the V area - as it enlarges at the top. The new model maserati rear badges are 340mm wide. so it JUST fits but looks a bit too wide and high. So i searched around. A 4200 rear badge bolts on with 3 nuts. Its also 290mm wide so will fit lower down and wont look too wide. it will also bolt on and therefore wont unstick itself on uneven area. This is the idea anyway. Will def send pics when it done (pre install) and fitted in about a month or so.
