Wheel colour choice

Looking to get the wheels refurbed on my GS, currently they’re silver but do prefer the mercury, problem is the calipers are mercury so would be lost.

What do you think?

Was also thinking about getting the calipers overhauled and re-powder coated at some point...But there is nothing wrong with them currently.

Couple of pics:

not normally a fan of coloured calipers, but must admit red on red looks good coupled with the darker graphite colour

Thanks for the replies,
Red on red do look good.
I’ll have a bit more of a think.

Seeing Spartacus' wheels last weekend, give it a more modern look for a DKR coloured car. Some colours do not suit a darker wheel, my argentine blue 4200 for example, it only suits the original silver tone.

Silver calipers and dark alloys are ok, the brakes still look good, but subtle!

I would keep the wheels silver, but think about changing the caliper colour. However, I think a caliper can be a good way to bring an accent of a different colour though, rather than matching the caliper to rest of the paintwork. So on a red car, I wouldn’t go red for the caliper.

This is mine...

Thanks for the pics, keep them coming.
To be honest do prefer it subtle, well as much as a bright red GS can be!

What Silver is that? I have Grigio callipers on mine, and Mercury wheels, and want to go lighter on the wheels, but then stuck on centre caps. Your red callipers go well with red Tridents. Not sure yellow tridents would look as good
