Just looked in the boot for my wrench and realised I don't have one, only cones with the spare wheel option according to the handbook. As I am going to collect new chromed wheel bolts tomorrow I will need to buy one.
Has anyone got size or recommend a good one?

A good tip Andrew is to tape insulating tape around the socket , prevents chipping the wheel paint when withdrawing the socket , i also tape up inside the socket to prevent scratching or marking the newly chromed bolts

Andrew, pop down to Argos and get a torque wrench. 20 quid with extension bar and then you can also torque up your bolts correctly - 98Nm

Miles, got the wrench as suggested, all sorted looks much better with chrome bolts.

Good news Andrew. It's amazing how much difference the chromed bolts make. Just finish everything off nicely.

Absolutely........the rusty ones are like boils on the face of a supermodel....your eye is drawn to them at every viewing...!!

Actually Andrew, just thinking about it.. re-torque them in a couple of days or after a couple of runs just to be sure they're nice and tight.

thanks, good advice,
My two year old girl 'helped' me change them over this afternoon should have seen her with oil on her hands and face looked like a true maserati babe!

Andrew, give the new wheel bolts a bit of vaseline, it helps keep the water out. They rust down the sides first, where water sits in the recesses, not helped by windy guns chipping the chrome off. Mine are still good at the moment, but I know they are going to go this winter when the salt gets in.

Matt, am I reading this correctly?..... Are you actually asking Andrew to put Vaseline on his nuts?
