Cracking pic and what a view. Where are you mate?
Thanks. On the estuary by Cardigan in the DDW - Drakula Drakeford’s Wales. As they say round here, “deep in the heart of every Welshman, they hate the bloody English. But there’s English and there’s English.” After 20 years I think I understand what they mean, but I’m only half Welsh.

Friend was an England rugby international right through the age groups. Played Harlequins & Loughborough 1st XV at 18. Fell out wiith coaches at Twickenham and "ended up" playing for Neath. When asked about the Englishman amongst their ranks one of the regulars said something like "He's Welsh so long as he's wearing the right shirt".

Lovely glass of Portuguese white with hot smoked salmon. Couple of shots of Lagavullin 8yo expression.

There is no pain, you are receding.....

Indeed a lovely pic. I've never seen Wales like that so much every time I've ever been.

All of Wales doesn't look like that and not all the time either. There are some very lovely parts for sure though.

Make it happen Jon

Virtual wine tasting. Both from Sainsbury's due to limited purchasing options from a couple of our number.

A Tokaji Dry Furmint and an St Chinian.

Not at all bad, but in reality just an excuse to have a chat with old friends.

Shame you aren't closer to me Matt...I have a sh1t load of Despardo in work that will be out of date in the next month or so. We have a repack area for stock that comes back damaged...We destroy the damage ones and keep the others making them up into good cases when we have more damage ones. Because we aren't working we haven't had the opportunity to work these bottles and they are sat there going out of date. What I've been doing is going through the stock looking what's coming up to date and giving to the NHS hospital and charities in the area.

Sainsbury's ... St Chinian.

It's a Miquel wine - supplies a number of supermarkets here. Nice wine but those from Château Cazal Viel can be rather good. They make some excellent wines for the price. They had a change of emphasis (+rebranding) about 5 years ago and much of the line-up is now over oaked imo. As you're partial to Viognier can recommend their unoaked Vérité though.

It's not the best I've ever had. Struggling with too much choice these days, I'm quite fond of the Wine without fuss from the Society

Typical VdT of the Miquel brand. Why they chose to overlay Cazal Viel was beyond me. This place is useful to cross reference with:
