Still lifts me on a dull day.
:)

So many quotable clips. "Bobbi Fleckman - The Hostess With The Mostest" in that NY whine cracks me up. I couldn't choose just one scene but at Gracelands you get four hits for the price of one:
Elvis' pre-death TV special - a musical of Somebody Up There Likes Me.
Since My Baby Left Me - harmonies in the same key.
Barber Shop Ragga & Too Much F***ing Perspective.

No matter how many times I watch it I'm still sniggering.

Eagles 71-75 has regained it's place as the all time best seller again. In my schooldays in the 70s I remember writing on my English textbook 'And then you'll have to eat your lunch all by yourself'. Halcyon days.

Wished I'd seen him especially in his musical prime. Support act for Zeppelin at Knebworth?
I remember buying Oops! Wrong Planet by Utopia which had this great song on.

Yes big Todd and Utopia fan. Saw him live a couple of times in the earlyish 80s including a brilliant one man show he did at a small venue near Victoria station, London. Brilliant and diverse songwriter. And Liv Tyler’s non-biological father!

Anybody into Camel and, in particular, Andrew Latimer as a guitarist. Possibly the best of the prog rock guitarists........?

Gillan - Glory Road. Forgot how good this LP is. First rock band I ever saw live as well.
He must of been a regular at Reading in the late 70s/early 80s Andy? I seem to remember he was rolling along with all the NWOBHM acts that were appearing at that time. My endearing memory of Tommy Vance's Friday Rock Show was when they had the yearly favourite song of all time and'Child In Time' normally made in the top ten and when I hear that song I'm transported back to them days. My Woman From Tokyo was a great song to put on before heading off for a party.

Yep he sure as. Saw him there a few times. The last time was when he had a try and fronting Black Sabbeth which didn't last long. Bernie Torme on guitar made this band for me. i was gutted when he left and was replaced by Jannick Gers who then went on to join Irin Maiden. Jannick Gers band Whitespirit supported Gillan on the Glory road tour.
