It's a 'OK' hmmm. In fairness the rip wasn't the best but IMHO neither was the movie.....

I'd think it was pretty **** in 240p with Arabic subtitles and sound through a popcorn box, I haven't met anyone that didn't think it was epic, you should go and see it at the cinema

Mind you most of the thread is stuck in the 80s so why not try it on VHS

Still listening to Kaizers Orchestra, sort of a Norwegian version of Einstürzende Neubauten, if you like music based on hitting washing machines with a sledgehammer.

Still, better than The Fall, now I'm sorry Mark E Smith is dead but The Fall were bleeding awful.......

Went to the Linda McCartney tribute at the Royal Albert Hall in the late 90s, on the bill was Paul McCartney, the late Lyndon David Hall, the Pretenders and George Michael who up to that point I didn't realise what a great musical performer he was.

Wow, that's a blast from the past. Saw them way back, but truth be told, went to see Bernie Torme supporting.

Always thought Saxon were a bit corny but in amongst that there were some great songs....747, Dallas 1pm, Bands Played On, Wheels of Steel to name a few.......Saw them lots in the 80's and I can be seen on there Eagle Has Landed tour Video running down the escalator and Cardiff Saint Davids Hall. 1 minute of fame and all that.

My first ever gig I saw Bernie Torme - but he was Ian Gillian's guitarist at the time....Glory Road Tour 1980 I believe. Really like the way Torme played. and his sound.

Spot on with location
I was a Northsider, rarely ventured South. The Molly Malone statue amused me, she's big up top, notice how shiny her bronze boobs are, due to tourists rubbing them. Is it back at the top of Grafton St yet, ISTR they moved it pro tem for the LUAS cross city link?

No Molly is now in Suffolk St outside St Andrews church which i think is where she is staying. As you stay certain parts of her figure are well worn ;)

I see Saxon when they was supporting Motorhead early 80s at the Cambridge Corn Exchange. When I think of the bands I missed at the Corn Exchange in the late 70s, AC-DC, Def Leopard, Iron Maiden (with Paul Di'Anno) Thin Lizzy
I thought it was a great era for young rock bands not really into the Indie bands which seem to be the genre of choice for up and coming bands these days.
These were a local Cambridge band from that era that use to play the Sea Cadet Hall in Cambridge.

Spent the whole day on site yesterday with Yippy-I-Aye in my head having watched Ghost Rider Sunday night!

Please God let me have something better today.
