Hi everyone,

I need some new tyres for my QP V GT S and have been offered Pirelli P Zero, Michelin Pilot Sport or Continental Sport 6.

Does anybody recommend any of them and know the pros and cons of each of them.

I currently have Pirelli P zeros fitted.

Thank you in advance.

I put new P Zeros on mine at first, but found they were very squirmy if that’s a word. Particularly on medium to fast bends, roads with camber changes and when loaded with kids and luggage. They were poor enough to make me change before our Pyrenees trip last summer.

I plumped for the Continentals, which I think were fitted to QP6 cars. I figured that most tyre/car company relationships are probably based on politics/economics, rather than actual desire to harmonise car and rubber.

Anyway, they were a revelation in comparison - grippy, faithful in the wet and much, much quieter.

Thanks guys.
Does it make any difference on the driving conditions for which tyre I choose as I live in Cyprus and only drive the car in dry summer conditions?

Yes. For you, the Pirelli would be the one. Here in the UK some people find them tricky on a cold wet winters day, but in Cyprus, in the summer sunshine, they’ll be perfect.
