What have you done to your Maserati today?

Started the car first time since october, and took for a spin. But brakes seem to have taken a lot of air and only just about work when pedal is pressed full in. Added a bottle of dot 4 which took the reservoir to Max. Is there any trick to improve it?

You need to find where the fluid has gone first.
I'd be looking around the mastercylinder both around the brake pedal inside the car and around the servo in the engine bay first.
Bleeding the brakes will get the pedal back but find where the fluid has gone as it could be a dangerous issue.

As it’s so aggressive hope not in the cabin. I took mine out for a drive - I sometimes have to press the pedal very hard after not using the car for a while. Could this be a servo/vacuum related problem? Brake fluid level is fine and no fluids under the car.

It's possible the fluid if it's the mastercylinder that's leaking could have got into the servo itself.
The only way you'll know is to remove the cylinder and look inside the servo.
More often than not you can see the fluid has removed paint from the servo a bit like paint stripper.
Do look up around the brake pedal with a good light and feel the carpet for dampness.

I will have another look tomorrow morning for leaks. When i parked it back in October i had no issue.

One thing I noticed though, with the engine OFF the brake pedal fills quite firm. It is when the engine is ON that it goes to the floor with the lightest press.

Took mine for a good run to Chester (fabulous brunch with Richard Grace and for once didn't p/ex for a new Maser!) late last week. On to Harrogate for a couple of days then 3.5 hours cruising home at nearly 23 mpg! Finally off to the SM meet in Newbury yesterday followed by the TVR meet for lunch at the Renegade brewery in Yattendon.

Phoned AA to find out where he was - Weston super Mare in safe storage. Due to be delivered to his destination tomorrow - 1 week after his breakdown...........It's fortunate i'm out playing with the S2000 for the next 10 days

Gave a big sigh of relief to learn he has safely reached his destination and does not appear to be any the worse for his adventure which has taken five days since his rescue from Shrewsbury (and 1 week since his breakdown) - makes the 3 weeks it took when he was rescued from Pamploma, Spain in 2023 seem supa speedy.
