Greetings!
Did a gentle engine cleaning to get rid of the dust and filth that had been attached all over the engine bay those years.

After

Also currently replacing the injector’s rubber sealings and dressing the wires with heat resistant sleeves.

I do need to lift the covers on my GT for a good engine bay clean but will leave it for a few weeks now after my recent 19 hours of back breaking work

I also had the Ghibli MOT'd today. I got my dates mixed up and thought I had longer, so just booked it in same day at Kwikfit, knowing it didn't need anything as had a check over at service a couple of weeks ago.

The sneeky bu***rs marked the tyres down as "close to legal limit" though, so that they could try and sell me a new set. It's only when you go into the detail do you see they said the fronts had 4mm left. Bit naughty, I thought.

Anyway, washed it tonight, bit of a polish between the rainstorms at the weekend and then firing it on Motorway.co.uk
Standard practice. My wife dropped off an Audi once and they did the whole fear sell when she collected it, saying tyres would need replacing soon. She phoned me and asked my thoughts and as I was working close by I popped in. 5.5mm all round...... Yes they would need replacing at some point in the future, just not in the next 12 months!!! I complained but it never went anywhere and we've never been back unless it's for a company vehicle.

Drove about 600 miles from Dorset to Nancy today.
That far outdoes the 300+ miles a day we've been doing - just make sure to avoid the A6 in Germany - it's a mare, riddled with road works and the German's didn't seem much better at coping than us Brits

Did another 600 yesterday, arriving in Modena at about 8pm.
Dropped the QP at the factory earlier this morning. They’ll have it for the week, and fingers crossed it’ll pass its Classiche certification.
Wonderful Ewan. Good luck and enjoy!

Busy Maserati day today. Visited Candini, Campala and Panini, then ended the day at (Ferrari) Cavallino.
We were the first people from the UK to visit the new Panini, so signed the book.
Any photos of the new Panini Ewan? Is it still in the same place? and what were your impressions of the new display?
