...you get this! https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201809010057730?colour=White&model=QUATTROPORTE&radius=1500&postcode=rh16dn&advertising-location=at_cars&sort=sponsored&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&make=MASERATI&page=1

Don't get me wrong - lovely car, but I think the only GTS-ness about it is the QPVI GTS badge added to the rear from eBay... reminds me a bit of that old Top Gear Episode (supercars for under 10k), Jezza bought a Merak under the impression it was an SS variant... and found a receipt for an SS badge buried within the car's history later on.

Maybe we should tell the dealer? :p

I more I look at the new QP and the Gaybli the more I don't like them, I honestly try, I like new tech, and generally prefer to move on otherwise I'd still be driving a car with a choke and advance and retard levers, but.....

Aston Rapide if I live long enough, or scammed by a Thai bride, either.....

Could go for Alfa Quadrafolio but it's a bit like a step back, having experience the pudding, you can't go back to savoury...

Have you driven the Alfa, I have and wasn’t convinced. It was an odd one, quite sedate under normal driving conditions and could have honestly been a 320d whilst cruising around town, apart from the lovely steering. Switch it into DNA mode or whatever it is called and all **** brakes loose......and this is where it fell down for me. Very quick but little noise and 8 gears is too many. The ZF 8 speed is great at being an auto, but I am yet to be convinced it works properly in a performance car if you want to press on. You never know what gear you are in and after a while it is such a hastle you flick back to auto, slow down and you may as well be in any Euro box. This is where the old ZF six speed has the advantage and older massers also, because when all is said and done, most of the time you cruise, have a quick point and squirt and want the drama and noise without loosing your license or having to drive everywhere like a di@k. You want the tingle in the trousers without being behind bars.

I haven't, had the 166 3.0 and to be honest it's a but underwhelming having got the QP now. For me though it's looks first, performance second, the QP ticks all the looks boxes, but I'm no boy-racer, like to be able to get to speed limit quickly, and stay at it round all sorts of corners with no roll. Loads of cars can rag me in a straight line now, but few can out of the corners or exiting a roundabout, even with a 12 year old car. The joy of the double paddle down shift, doesn't make you an F1 racing driver but it sure does make you feel like one.
