Wet beneath the seat

I test drove a nice 2007 QP (ZF) today with a view to buying it. It was raining. Inspecting it after, I got to lifting the floor mats and looking at the "fitted carpet" beneath. Underneath the front passenger seat was sopping wet.
I am alarmed by this strange thing. Should it stop me buying the car?
Everywhere else was dry, so the water could not have come from leaving a window or the sunroof open in the rain before I arrived. I had run the air con (plenty of cold air from all vents) and the seat coolers (subdued whirring) Could that have caused it? Front footwell was dry, so I can't imagine the water came from the wheel arch or the air con heat exchanger. I don't think it smelt of engine either and the engine coolant header tank seemed to be full to the right level, so I don't suspect a coolant leak.
Any ideas (please) about getting wet beneath the seat?

I have had similar experience with my QPV. Turned out to be the drain from the sunroof... takes a route along the frame and out underneath. Local garage diagnosed and cleaned it out... dunno how... compressed air?? Couldn't believe how simple it was after months worrying about wet rot. Had been leaving passenger footwell soaked. I believe can also be the drain from windscreen area on my model. Appreciate not same car but probably same principle.

I had this with my X-Type Jag. Dealer said it was coming in from underneath and stripped out the whole interior. Actually it was a blocked filter in a fresh air intake somewhere up near the windscreen.

Probably a blocked drain as mentioned. Needs sorting though, I suspect there's electronics in that area as per the GT
