Keep up at the back, Andy! It’s black on the outside (to match the GC-MC), and mostly black on the inside, but with the blue alcantara roof lining. Here’s another interior shot (though the after-market mats will be upgraded).

Must have missed something Ewan. That's lovely.

Not sure where you are in the country but Outrun is not a million miles from Parks in Hamilton and ex Stradale owner so might be worth contacting him in case he has any knowledge of the garage or cars etc. as well as words of wisdom on model to buy.
thanks sent him a pm

UPDATE.......the 13 plate car was registered in july 2013 but didnt have first service untill JAN 16 when it was on 2617 miles and the second service on JAN 18 9257 miles ,so going by the service intervals first service about 6 months late, maybe due to low mileage i presume!!!they are willing to have the car serviced for the potential purchaser. Not sure what to do now lol??pics now up on the link

Would not put me off given the miles. These cars are hard to find in a good spec especially if you want a facelift MC shift as opposed to an MC Auto shift. They are a main dealer which helps but ask them to put the second year warranty on now as well in the price.

PS it is a cheap car too

I guess that’s why they are cheap. You have to price the risk and then decide but the good weather has arrived so time for a decision!

Sorry, I didn't get time to answer your PM yet this week.

Although they are a main dealer, they're one of the new ones and not exactly knowledgeable. Doesn't mean that you shouldn't buy from them but you have to ask why they won't put the proper warranty on them. If they don't offer that then there is not advantage over another dealership, Dicky Grace or Nuvola for example. Are you in Glasgow or somewhere further afield?

Actually, I'm surprised they are allowed to sell Maserati in their branded showroom and not prepare and warranty them accordingly.

It is quite possible that a main dealer may not offer an "approved used" warranty if the car is beyond their age/mileage criteria but still acceptable to offer for sale instead of a trade disposal.

But care will be required in the event of such a purchase and a scrutiny of the third party warranty is essential to assess its value and worth (if any - owing to numerous wear n tear clauses, claim limits being too low and ridiculously low labour rates limit).

If it's a Gran Turismo you are after, consider speaking to Richard Grace - he has two for sale according to his website stocklist. They will both have been through an inspection and prepared for sale based on the result of the inspection. There will be a six month warranty included in the price (extendable for paying an additional premium at the time of purchase).

My understanding of Maseratis own warranty supported by the factory is that they will only let it be applied to a car that has been maintained as per the service schedule.

If this car has missed or been late with a service it will be unable to be applied... after all it is a factory insurance scheme rather than dealer applied.

That is a possibility. With Porsche, they will not offer for sale a Porsche car that has not got a Porsche main dealer history. Instead they will dispose of it through the trade.

If a car is older than their criteria but otherwise good. They may sell through the main dealer but without the Approved-used status as Porsche will not provide the warranty beyond tight age/mileage conditions.
