Well after being out of a trident for nearly a year, I finally got into a Lambo.

Interesting comments of late on here. I can assure you the Lambo lives up to everything I dreamt it would be and more. The respect and admiration that the general public give when they see it is epic. I share it and let others enjoy especially kids and I say to them if they work their arses off for a few years then they can too achieve their dreams. Life’s too short to not enjoy it and sometimes say **** it I’m having that. It’s peanuts in comparison to some metal out there too!!! I’m living the dream now and who knows what is around the corner. One life live it and love it!

Stunning car in a proper Lamborghini colour too - they just look wrong in boring colours such as white or black - my friend owned a Huracan in Verde Mantis, it was truly amazing and I was blessed he let me drive it!

Well done @Contigo and health to enjoy!

I've been a bit puzzled too by the "I'm over that" comments. I'd have it in a second, that exact colour, or the frog green. Enjoy!

For me at this stage of my life material things are just not important. It has taken some years, some thinking, some understanding and all becomes clear. I have pretty good clarity now on most things. Things can give you short term pleasure but often don't give medium to long term happiness. If that is what some want or need then great.

I think more people now, less so in here I expect, are looking deeper into ethics and what is really needed. All these things of course are not needed just selfish purchases for a single individual. That is great if that is what you think you want or need. It often isn't but like any drug will always give a short term 'fix' of course. If you can be OK with being selfish and singled minded also it gives you what you need then it is fine. Enjoy it. True joy and happiness I don't personally think is found in material things.

Jimmy Carr did a recent podcast with Steven Bartlett on The Diary of a CEO. He summed up much quite well and had a great outlook on things. Yes....Jimm Carr!! He said when is enough enough? How much do people need? Billionaire's won't stop until the become trillionaire's.

I also think more people are looking deeper into the moral side of things when there is so much conflict, pain and suffering in the world. Do we all really need so much excess? Maybe some do. I'm far happier other people have these things than me as I wouldn't feel comfortable owning or driving one.

I've spoken to a lot of people over the last year or two I've been helping through some tough times. People who have lost life savings and so much more due to bad investments. People struggling with their mental health and suicidal thoughts. It has changed what I think, care about and believe to be important. I'd find it hard to party at others expense.

So that Lambo I thought I wanted when I was a kid it turns out I didn't. I guess for many that is not the case so each to their own of course. We are all different and seemingly want different things. Keeps life interesting and intriguing for sure.

Why don't you sell your big house, land you want to build houses on and 10+ cars and give the proceeds away? Surely these count as material things and are far greater than your basic needs?

Well aside from the fact I haven't got a big house, 10+ cars or lots of money it might be tricky. Let's not let facts of the truth get in the way of a good story though.

The detail is immaterial. My point is that you clearly have more than you need, much of it material things.

Phil has worked really hard and rewarded himself with an amazing car which he is sharing on a forum for car enthusiasts. Perhaps a separate thread should be started for sanctimonious musings...

You are quite correct and I've deleted the posts.

I don’t think I’ve actually seen one but if it’s anything like the standard one I bet it sounds spectacular aswell as looking fab. The bloke who drops his kid off every morning used to have a McLaren and one morning I thought “at last he’s changed that exhaust” but he hadn’t, he’d got a Lambo.

I think you need to get off a performance and sports car forum then and sell your million pound Hertfordshire home and donate the proceeds to shelter. The company I now run is a million pound company and we have donated to GOSH, Shelter and many many other charities over the last year. I also donate time and charity to a local food bank charity. Making judgements about people when you know **** all about them paints you in a particularly bad light.

Maybe listen to the podcast and do some research about Jimmy Carr. As you say making judgements about people when you know **** all about them. I can't judge as I don't know Jimmy Carr well or know enough about him to do so. It depends what you know about people I guess. Those who know......know I guess.

Enjoy the car and I hope it brings you all the things you hoped it would.

Saying he is the god and messiah on a podcast about having all things being bad and not knowing that he avoided tax in a big way to get even wealthier is like putting Herod in charge of Mothercare.
